*The Performance Checking Account is a variable rate checking account based upon qualification factors and variable balances.
1.75% Annual Percentage Yield (APY) as of January 9, 2013 is paid on balances up to $25,000.00, and 0.10% APY paid on amounts above $25,000.00 per statement cycle if the requirements are met. If you do not meet the requirements per statement cycle, you will receive a rate of 0.10% APY on entire balance.
To qualify for the higher rates, customers must perform the following activities during the qualification cycle: 12 debit card (point of sale, non-PIN) transactions must post, and at least one direct deposit or automated clearing house (ACH) transfer.
Qualification cycle means the period beginning the first day of customer’s enrollment in the Performance Checking Account or two days prior to the previous deposit statement cycle through three days prior to the next statement cycle. Interest rate and APY are subject to change after account is opened.
Fees may reduce the earnings on the account. Rates may change at any time without prior notice.

Overdraft Privilege
Each Scituate Federal Savings Bank personal checking account may be eligible for Overdraft Privilege. If you write a check, make an in-person withdrawal, perform a debit card transaction, or a transaction by other electronic means from your checking account that exceeds your actual balance, we may cover your overdraft(s) up to $500.00 including overdraft fees. No more bounced checks! You will need to bring your checking account back to a positive balance within 30 days from the time you first overdraw your account and you can then use your Overdraft Privilege the very next day!
Each time you overdraw your account and we cover your check or withdrawal, we'll charge our customary Overdraft fee, currently $27.00. But that's all you will pay. No late fees. No interest. And no more returned checks and fees from merchants!
Whether your overdrafts will be paid is discretionary and we reserve the right not to pay. For example, we typically do not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing, or you are not making regular deposits, or you have too many overdrafts.
